Art made properly,
right here in South Africa.
Since 2015 we've helped South Africans fill their homes with art they love. Every piece is printed to order with archival pigment inks, and our floating frames are handmade by local craftsmen in solid hardwood. No shortcuts, no mass-produced stock. Just beautiful art, made properly, for your wall.
A small South African team with a big love for art.
Artworld started with a simple idea: beautiful wall art shouldn't be a gamble. Too much of what's sold online is printed cheaply, framed in soft pine or plastic, and fades within a few summers.
So we do it differently. We curate collections across every style, from African wildlife and botanicals to bold pop art and the old masters. Then we make each piece to order, using the same professional printing standards galleries use and frames built the traditional way.

Fine art prints with Epson UltraChrome pigment inks.
Most cheap prints use dye inks, which soak into the paper and start to fade within a few years. We print with Epson UltraChrome pigment inks, the professional inks used by galleries, museums and fine art photographers around the world. This is the giclée standard.
Pigment, not dye
Tiny particles of solid pigment sit on the surface instead of soaking in, so colours stay crisp, rich and true.
Built to last
Pigment inks are highly lightfast. Kept out of direct sun, your print keeps its colour for many decades, not just a few summers.
Wide colour range
A broad colour gamut reproduces vivid reds, deep blues and subtle skin tones the way the artist intended.
Deep, true blacks
Dedicated black inks give rich, dense blacks and real depth, perfect for our black and white and dramatic pieces.
Smooth gradations
Fine droplets give seamless tone transitions, so skies, shadows and brushwork look smooth, with no banding.
Tough and stable
Once dry, pigment prints resist smudging, moisture and humidity better than dye prints. That's ideal for South African homes, kitchens and bathrooms.
Tip: like all fine art, your piece will look its best for longest when hung out of strong, direct sunlight.

Handmade floating frames, built with real joinery.
Our floating canvas frames aren't moulded plastic or soft pine. Each one is built by hand from solid hardwood by skilled local craftsmen, using traditional joinery for mitre joints that are strong, tight and made to last a lifetime.
Solid hardwood
Every frame starts as solid hardwood, chosen for its grain and strength. Never MDF or plastic.
Precision mitres
Every corner is cut at an exact 45° so the grain flows around the frame and the joints close up perfectly.
Strong joints
Each mitre is glued, clamped and reinforced using proper joinery techniques, so corners stay tight and won't open up over time.
Hand finished
Frames are sanded and finished by hand to bring out the natural grain, or given a smooth black finish.
Floated and fitted
Your canvas is fixed inside with an even shadow gap, so it seems to float, then checked and made ready to hang.
