A black-and-white portrait of a cat with its eyes closed, rendered with loose, expressive strokes and soft contrast. The focus is on calm and form rather than detail, giving the piece a quiet, settled presence. Works well in minimalist interiors or as part of a monochrome gallery wall.
The artwork features fluid ink-wash strokes dissolving from deep black into pure white, with fine scratched lines suggesting fur and whiskers against a stark background, creating a dreamlike, contemplative mood. It suits Scandinavian, japandi, or contemporary minimalist interiors, fitting naturally into a bedroom, study, or living room where a sense of stillness is desired. Style it above a low-profile sofa or bed, paired with natural wood furniture, linen textiles, and other monochrome botanical or animal prints for a cohesive gallery wall.
