Engel Anwärter Paul Klee Wall Art

Klee’s work has influenced the work of many other artists, including the American Abstract Expressionists and the British Pop Artists. His influence can be seen in both the methods, such as painting with a thick impasto, and the subject matter of their paintings, such as biomorphic shapes.

This exhibition poster reproduces Klee's 1939 work "Engel Anwärter" (Angel Applicant), depicting an abstracted, childlike figure rendered in muted blues, greys, and whites against a deep indigo background, with a crescent moon overhead lending the composition a dreamlike, nocturnal mood. The piece suits Scandi-minimalist, contemporary, or eclectic interiors, working beautifully in a study, bedroom, or living room. Style it above a sofa paired with natural wood shelving, warm linen cushions, or as a centrepiece within a curated gallery wall alongside other blue-toned prints.
